The approach

Oral rehabilitation is first of all listening: what really bothers you, what you want to eat, how you want to look. Then planning — on a 3D scan, on a computer, from the result backwards — and only then execution. Dr. Koter believes implant surgery and restoration are two professions, and that a patient gets a more precise result when each is in the hands of someone who specialises in it — the implantologist for the implants, the prosthodontist for the teeth built on them — provided they plan together. In the network the two work on the same CT and the same digital plan, and the restoration is designed before surgery; the person placing the implant knows exactly which tooth will sit on it, not because it is the same pair of hands but because the tooth was designed first. Dr. Koter supervises the plan and follows the complex cases. One protocol, one file, one responsibility — the network’s. And for the patient, one contact person.

Kayama Dent is a network of five oral-rehabilitation clinics — Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, Kfar Saba, Netanya and Haifa. The protocol, the equipment, the treatment stages and the check-up schedule are identical at every clinic; complex cases are planned at the network planning centre, and Dr. Koter sees patients at every clinic. Appointments are longer than usual, because the explanation is part of the treatment.
